The group that allows members to work together towards a short-term common goal with an emphasis on cooperation is best represented by a project group. In a project group, individuals collaborate on a specific task or objective, leveraging their skills and perspectives to achieve a defined result within a limited timeframe. This type of group fosters teamwork and interdependence, as participants must communicate, coordinate, and contribute to the common goal effectively.

On the other hand, while egocentric-cooperative groups focus on individuals working toward their own goals in a cooperative environment, project groups are specifically oriented towards completing a shared task. Cooperative groups emphasize collaboration as well, but the focus is more on the process of working together rather than achieving a short-term task. Developmental groups prioritize the progression of participants through stages of group interaction rather than emphasizing a cooperative effort towards a specific goal. Thus, the project group stands out for its clear intention to unite members for a short-term objective through cooperation.
